Turkish Cargo has signed a master rental agreement with DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.
Under the agreement, which is effective from February 2019, DoKaSch will supply its Opticooler containers for the carrier and will be able to expand its network in the Middle East and Israel.
“Turkish Airlines serves more destinations than any other airline,” said Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch. “This means that our Opticoolers are now available to many more clients that need reliable temperature-controlled air freight.”
The Opticooler is an electric air-conditioned container which is capable of keeping pharmaceuticals within a specified temperature range, regardless of exterior conditions.
Turkish Cargo is due to move its operations to the new Istanbul Airport during 2019, offering its clients new and larger cargo facilities that will support the transport of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals across the world.
“As one of the leading airlines of the world, we provide our cargo clients with the best-quality services to transport high-value pharma products,” said Fatih Cigal, senior vice president of marketing at Turkish Cargo. “So the Opticooler is one of the natural choices and the master rental agreement confirms that we have all the necessary procedures in place.”
