Miguel Rodríguez Moreno, senior manager climate control products at Qatar Airways Cargo has joined the Cool Chain Association (CCA)’s Board of Directors.

Rodríguez Moreno brings with him over six years’ experience in cargo, including four years as Global Pharma Development Manager for Etihad Cargo.

"It is an honour to join CCA’s Board of Directors and I look forward to sharing our expertise while at the same time hearing from other stakeholders so we can collaboratively improve and enhance the cool chain," Rodríguez Moreno said.

"Digitalisation is one of the key pillars of our strategy; tech and automation is being implemented across all areas of our services including cool chain solutions and I am looking forward to being part of the CCA Perishables Conference where the focus is on innovation and tech."

Stavros Evangelakakis, CCA Chairman and Head of Global Healthcare, Cargolux, noted that "CCA members work together on projects that will help improve the quality of the cool chain and we have plenty of useful information to share at our conference, especially given the challenges of COVID."

While the event is free to attend, the CCA urged delegates to donate to its chosen charity Every Infant Matters, which serves communities in poverty in India, Nigeria, and the Dominican Republic with last mile health solutions.
