Kuehne + Nagel has been appointed by Corning Life Sciences to manage its new Asia-Pacific distribution hub in Shanghai.

The German logistics company will provide services such as warehousing, pick-and-pack, consolidating Corning’s intercontinental sea-freight shipments, and distributing products in the Asia-Pacific market.

“We are delighted to enter this new partnership to support Corning Life Sciences’ continued growth in Asia,” said Wong Siew Loong, president of Kuehne + Nagel North Asia. “The new distribution centre in Yangshan, Shanghai, leverages our expertise in supply-chain distribution solutions and we look forward to building a long-term relationship with Corning Life Sciences.”

Doug Lohse, regional general manager of Corning Life Sciences Asia, said that the new distribution centre confirms the company’s commitment to its Asian customers and to the future of the life-sciences market in Asia.
