Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. has formally inaugurated its Cool Center.

The 3,500m² facility is designed specifically for the handling of temperature-sensitive goods, with various temperature zones. It has a capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year.

The facility recently became the first to achieve the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics certification from the International Air Transport Association.

Trial operations began in November 2015.
