CEVA Logistics has appointed Alain Souto as vice president of aerospace sector operations in the global contract logistics division.

According to CEVA, Souto will be based in Madrid and will be in charge of standardizing the company’s aerospace operations and developing growth and improvement strategies. He will report to Brett Bissell, chief operating officer of contract logistics.

“With more than 20 years’ experience in the transport and logistics business, Alain brings a wealth of knowledge to CEVA and his new role,” said Bissell. “I look forward to working with him to further enhance our processes and performance levels for the standard and dedicated solutions we provide to our key aerospace customers.  I warmly welcome him to the CEVA team.”

Souto was previously director if industry and aerospace logistics at Kuehne + Nagel. He has also worked in management positions at Christian Salvesen and Hays Logistics, according to CEVA.
