Pakistan International Airlines has awarded a three-year contract to Worldwide Flight Services for the provision of cargo-handling and trucking services in the UK.

Combined with our close working relationship with the airline’s GSA partner in the UK, this increases the potential to generate cargo for the airline’s flights from across the country.”

PIA flies non-stop from Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore to London Heathrow, from Islamabad and Lahore to Manchester, and from Islamabad to Birmingham, with a combination of Airbus A330-300s, Boeing 777-200ERs, 777-200LRs and 777-300ERs.

Cargo on PIA’s 10 weekly flights at Heathrow will be managed at WFS’ Building 551 at the World Cargocentre, while the airline’s 10 weekly flights at Manchester and four weekly flights at Birmingham will be handled at the WFS-operated terminals at the two airports, according to WFS.
