AGILITY ACQUIRES WAREHOUSE IN SINGAPORE

Agility has acquired an additional warehouse near Singapore’s Changi International Airport.

According to Agility, the two-story, 177,000-square-foot facility offers access to two major expressways and a range of logistics services.

“We aren’t just storing goods within four walls,” said Mykell Lee, CEO of Agility Singapore. “In an expensive market like Singapore, customers want service innovation. We are offering them technology-driven solutions to optimize their supply chains across the region. We have strong infrastructure and well-trained people to help execute that vision.”

The company, which invested S$25.5 million (US$18.25 million) in the warehouse, will be able to offer more services, including automated quality inspections, a container-management e-system, a recycling programme for packing materials and enhanced warehouse-management systems with regional data backup.

Agility has operated in Singapore for more than 40 years and now owns five warehouses measuring a total of 600,000 square feet.
