WCA SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH FREIGHTSNAP ASIA

WCA has signed an exclusive manufacturing and distribution agreement with FreightSnap Asia during the 10th Annual Worldwide Conference in Singapore.

The agreement confirms WCA’s official endorsement of FreightSnap Asia, which is the official distributor of FreightSnap products in the Asia region.

“We are very excited about WCA supporting our exclusive distributor throughout Asia as this will bring us closer to the worldwide membership of WCA as well as endorse our products within the group,” said Michael Eichenberg [right in photo], CEO of FreightSnap. “We have already received impressive results from key installations and alliances made within Asia and expect the partnership to align FreightSnap as the leader in automated dimensioning solutions for Asia.”

WCA began encouraging its members to examine FreightSnap’s unique capabilities in the summer of 2017.

“It’s our mission to support our members and we do so not only by providing member benefits but by consulting and guiding our members beyond the scope of the network,” said David Yokeum [left in photo], founder and chairman of WCA. “FreightSnap is the only freight dimensioning solution that is WCA-tested and member-approved so taking this step to become exclusive distributor for Asia was a no-brainer.”

As an added benefit, WCA’s partnership with FreightSnap will also make it easier for members to explore and acquire FreightSnap’s tools.

“A member has the convenience of accessing these dimensioners simply by talking to his or her WCA representative,” said Ken Yokeum, vice president of Asia Pacific at WCA and director of FreightSnap Asia. “This eliminates barriers and adds a layer of comfort and trust – things that are important when making an investment of this calibre and significance.”

Many of WCA’s warehouse-heavy members are already using FreightSnap for a number of reasons, one of which is that it is low-cost, robust and easy to use. Ken Yokeum said that WCA started promoting FreightSnap across its strong member base in Asia late last year.

“The response has been so positive that we felt empowered to take action as the exclusive distributor in the region,” he said. “Not only are our members excited about the system, WCA is fully equipped to handle the responsibility of expanding this American-made system into international markets.”

FreightSnap was established in 2012 and designs and builds package and pallet-dimensioning solutions used by shippers, carriers, 3PLs and freight forwarders.
