Hapag-Lloyd has launched Quick Quotes, a new digital tool which helps speed up the quotation and booking process.

According to the German shipping line, customers around the world can now use the tool to generate online quotations for container shipments in seconds, by just logging in via the Hapag-Lloyd website, choosing the start and end locations and selecting a commodity and container type. Customers will receive a binding quotation and can then make their bookings right away using the online business platform.

“Becoming easier to do business with and digitizing our services are very important for us,” said Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd. “Quick Quotes enables our customers globally to get a fast quotation at any time, which will contribute to a better and more efficient customer experience.”

Apart from getting quotes and placing immediate bookings for shipments, customers can also check shipping schedules, manage documents and track their shipments.

Quick Quotes and mobile bookings will also be accessible using the Hapag-Lloyd app for Android and iOS from September 2018, according to Hapag-Lloyd.
