DHL EXPRESS EXPANDS ON DEMAND DELIVERY IN HONG KONG

DHL Express has expanded its On Demand Delivery service in Hong Kong in partnership with convenience store Circle K.

Customers will now be able to pick up their packages at more than 300 Circle K stores across Hong Kong.

“Circle K is committed to making our customers’ lives easier,” said Krystie Tang, general manager of marketing and purchasing at Circle K. “This new partnership with DHL Express allows us to serve our customers better by offering them the chance to be in control of the last-mile fulfillment service of their online shopping experience, so that they can pick up their parcels any time, from any nearby Circle K outlets.”

The On Demand Delivery service, which DHL Express launched in 2016, proactively notifies receivers about a shipment’s progress and allows them to choose from a range of delivery options.

“True to our promise of delivering service excellence, this partnership has expanded DHL Express’ delivery network to more than 600 touchpoints,” said Herbert Vongpusanachai, senior vice president and managing director of DHL Express Hong Kong and Macau. “The familiarity and convenience of Circle K will help enrich the connections we have with our customers as well as ensure we stay on top of their evolving needs.”

DHL Express has added a new feature called Courier Time Window which will send an SMS reminder to receivers on the day of delivery to alert them to a specific timeframe when they can expect their delivery. Receivers can request for changes in delivery time and location to avoid a missed delivery.

“The growth of online shopping has fuelled the need for greater delivery offering,” said Vongpusanachai. “On Demand Delivery provides an intuitive and flexible delivery option that customers can be in control of. With this service, we offer local consumers a hassle-free international online shopping experience whilst supporting retailers around the world to reach their customers reliably and punctually.”

Customers in Hong Kong can now pick up their shipments at DHL lockers and service points as well as 7-Eleven and Circle K stores. On Demand Delivery is also available in more than 160 countries and territories and in 45 languages around the world.
