SCHIPHOL REPORTS 12% AIR CARGO VOLUME INCREASE IN MARCH 2024

Schiphol Airport saw air cargo volumes handled at the gateway increase double-digits in March.

 

Europe's third-largest cargo gateway reported 1,363 cargo flights in March and a total transported volume of 136,492 tonnes.

 

That is an increase of 12% compared to 2023.

Meanwhile, the airport said in 2023, Shanghai was again its most popular cargo destination.

 

The list also includes Doha (Qatar), Nairobi (Kenya), Guangzhou (China), Quito (Ecuador), Chicago (United States), Seoul (South Korea), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Istanbul (Turkey).

 

"Some destinations swapped positions, and we welcome Seoul and Istanbul into the top 10," Schiphol Airport added.
