ACL AIRSHOP APPOINTS DIRECTOR AND GM OF ASIA-PAC OPERATIONS

Air cargo service provider ACL Airshop has promoted Pieter van Calcar to the director and general manager of Asia-Pacific operations.

 

According to ACL Airshop, van Calcar, who is based in Hong Kong and Singapore, has also been appointed a full member of the company’s executive team.

 

“Pieter van Calcar is a proven leader in the air cargo business, and our customers will benefit from his knowledge and experience,” said Tony Morgan, president and CEO of ACL Airshop. “The strategic growth trends in the Asia-Pacific region dictate that we have strong leadership there for the best possible service to our current and prospective clients. Pieter’s previous successes in developing new services and products in mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and numerous other countries tells our customers that we will help them build their cargo routes on a 24/7/365 basis.”

 

Van Calcar has more than 20 years of experience in the Asian air cargo market. He was previously regional sales manager of Asia Pacific for ACL Airshop and was responsible for the company’s growth in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Hanoi and Tokyo. He has also held senior regional management roles at VRR and Zodiac/Driessen, according to ACL Airshop.
