TURKISH CARGO, AVIANCA CARGO PARTNER FOR LIEGE-MIAMI SERVICE
November 12, 2024

Turkish Cargo and Avianca Cargo are boosting their cargo alliance with the launch of a transatlantic freighter operation that connects their primary air cargo networks.

Starting in November, Turkish Cargo will partner with Avianca Cargo to provide cargo capacity on flights between Liège, Belgium, and Miami, Florida.

Turkish started B77F flights from its Istanbul hub via Liège to Miami on November 3, where it will then connect to Avianca's Latin American network.

Turkish Airlines allocates part of its transatlantic flight capacity to Avianca. In return, the Turkish airline can offer its customers access to destinations within the Latin American carrier's network.

With this partnership, Turkish Cargo will be able to improve access to destinations in South America by taking advantage of Avianca Cargo's network in the area. Meanwhile, Avianca Cargo will expand its reach to global destinations by tapping into Turkish Cargo's extensive routes.

The moves follow a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in April 2023 between the carriers, indicating their intention to explore potential cooperation opportunities and enhance air cargo connections by combining their resources and expertise.

The Liege-Miami freighter service will initially operate weekly, with the potential for increased frequency.
