CMA CGM REORGANIZES INDIA AND MIDDLE EAST TO EAST AFRICA SERVICES
July 13, 2016

CMA CGM will operate a reconfigured network of services connecting India and the Middle East to East Africa from mid-July 2016.

According to CMA CGM, its Noura Express service will remove the Salalah call and add calls at Mundra and Port Victoria. It will be operated with four 2,200 TEU vessels.

The port rotation will be: Mundra – Khor Fakkan – Jebel Ali – Mombasa – Mogadishu – Port Victoria – Mundra.

According to CMA CGM, cargo will now have a direct connection from Mogadishu to Mundra, with a transit time of 18 days.

The Swahili service will no longer call at Mundra and Port Elizabeth because of heavy port congestion at Zanzibar. The service will be operated with six 2,700 TEU vessels.

The port rotation will be: Nhava Sheva – Khor Fakkan – Jebel Ali – Longoni – Dar Es Salaam – Zanzibar – Nacala [fortnightly].
