TIME:MATTERS AUTOMATES SHIPMENT TRACKING
May 5, 2017

Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary time:matters will automate the tracking process for its time-critical shipments.

According to time:matters, all information on the status of a shipment, which had to be compiled manually until now, will be automatically generated and exchanged with selected courier partners that are directly connected to time:matters’ booking system. The couriers can then compile the information in a web app and send it to the customer.

“Above all, as a further step in digitizing the logistics chain, process automation represents a major gain for our customers,” said Christian Mörtl, COO of time:matters. “They receive information that is more reliable more quickly than before and are always kept up-to-date on the current status of their shipment.”

The automated tracking makes it easier to visualize complicated orders and reduces the chance of errors. The accounting process is also simplified because the orders are sent through the system without paper records and are automatically saved, according to time:matters.
