SINO-GLOBAL EXPANDS PARTNERSHIPS WITH SINOTRANS GUANGXI AND COSFRE BEIJING
June 1, 2017

Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. has signed project agreements with Sinotrans Guangxi Co. and COSCO Beijing International Freight Co., Ltd., also known as COSFRE Beijing.

Under the agreements, which are extensions of a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Sinotrans Guangxi and an inland transportation agreement with COSFRE Beijing signed in December 2016, Sino-Global will continue its efforts to promote the containerization of commodities between China and the US.

“We are very excited to extend our project agreements with Sinotrans Guangxi and COSFRE Beijing,” said Lei Cao, chief executive officer of Sino-Global. “Containerization has key advantages over bulk shipments, which include containers being easily moved from one mode of transportation to another. We believe there is an opportunity that has been created by an imbalance in trans-Pacific trade from China that has yet to be captured by the North American sector, particularly given the ongoing increase in Chinese demand. These project agreements allow the company to capitalize on that opportunity and officially mark the continuance of its strategic partnerships with two leading China state-owned logistics and transportation companies, making Sino-Global a crucial partner in their US-related business while further establishing our foothold in the US logistics market, as a global logistics services provider.”

Sino-Global will also manage all ground logistics and custom declaration services in the US for Sinotrans Guangxi and COSFRE Beijing.

The commodities covered by the agreements include sulphur, soybean and petroleum jelly, according to Sino-Global.
