Under the agreement, DHL will manage JYSK’s inbound flow with an integrated supply chain solution, including online vendor bookings and purchase order management services.  DHL expects to handle approximately 55,000 TEUs per year, mainly from Asia, the Mediterranean, Latin America and the Middle East into the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

“We are very pleased that our service to JYSK Nordic has resulted in a contract extension and look forward to continue to service JYSK Nordic with a strong supply chain solution that will assist them in growing their business successfully,” said Chris Arnold, head of operations in the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe at DHL Global Forwarding International Supply Chain.

All of DHL’s services to JYSK are delivered by a dedicated team in Scandinavia. All purchase orders will be visible from end to end, from order placement through to fulfilment.

“The DHL solution has provided better control and visibility in our supply chain and brings real value to JYSK, especially through online vendor booking and the EDI connections,” said Loui Andreasen, shipping manager at JYSK Nordic. “We see that the solution has supported our continued efforts to streamline and improve our inbound flow and look forward to continuing to grow our successful partnership with DHL.”

JYSK Nordic opened its first store in Denmark and now sells its products across more than 2,500 stores in 48 countries.
