SkyTeam has appointed Nico Van der Linden as its vice president of cargo alliance, effective from July 1, 2017.

According to SkyTeam, Van der Linden will be responsible for further strengthening the cargo aspect of the alliance by working closely with the 12 member airlines. He will build on the initiatives and technological advances SkyTeam has implemented, and further enhance customer interaction with the SkyTeam members.

With over 30 years of cargo experience, Van der Linden has more than 30 years of experience in the cargo industry. He has held management roles at both KLM Cargo and Air France KLM Cargo, and has worked in cargo hubs such as Paris, Dubai and Amsterdam.

Van der Linden has particular experience across areas such as commercial, customer service and operations, in both central and regional functions, according to SkyTeam.
