POS MALAYSIA PARTNERS WITH ANCHANTO TO STRENGTHEN E-COMMERCE WAREHOUSING
July 27, 2017

Malaysia’s postal service provider Pos Malaysia has signed an agreement with Anchanto to use the logistics and selling platform’s warehouse management technology to strengthen its ability to provide an e-fulfilment service for the Malaysian e-commerce market.

According to Anchanto, its electronic warehouse management system will be integrated into Pos Malaysia’s own processes to form an e-commerce fulfilment system. This new platform will allow Pos Malaysia to offer an end-to-end service for customers. This will include warehousing and last-mile delivery by domestic courier company Pos Laju.

“We’re pleased to be working with Pos Malaysia to provide them with our cross-border e-commerce technology that will help them manage the whole spectrum of services,” said Vaibhav Dabhade, founder and chief executive officer of Anchanto. “The rapid growth of e-commerce in Asia means that third-party logistics players such as Pos Malaysia need to modernize to be part of this growth story.”

Online sellers using Pos Malaysia will also gain access to Anchanto’s SelluSeller, a new one-stop platform enabling merchants to sell across various online marketplaces in Asia.

“Pos Malaysia’s strategic collaboration with Anchanto will strengthen our presence in the e-fulfilment business,” said Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh, group chief executive officer of Pos Malaysia. “It will enable us to provide and offer a complete range of e-fulfilment services to our customers such as reliable quality packets and parcel delivery products and services, competitive price and high-level support for warehousing management as well as packet and parcel preparation.”

Pos Malaysia hopes to capitalize on the new business streams in e-fulfilment generated by the partnership as well as on the 15-20% growth of the e-commerce industry, according to Mohd Shukrie.
