EUROGATE APPOINTS NEW MD OF MSC GATE BREMERHAVEN

Eurogate has appointed Ferdinand Möhring as the new managing director of MSC Gate Bremerhaven Container Terminal, the joint venture between Mediterranean Shipping Company and Eurogate.

 

According to Eurogate, Möhring replaces Jörg Colberg, who has been appointed to the management board of Gesamthafenbetriebsverein Bremen/Bremerhaven.

 

Möhring spent 11 years at sea and has been in the container business for almost 30 years. He started his career at Eurogate’s shareholder, BLG Logistics Group, in 1988 as a ship planner in the container division in Bremerhaven. He moved to Autoterminal Bremerhaven in 1999 and from 2013, he held positions in the areas of corporate strategy and sustainability, responsible for BLG’s wind energy segment and general cargo business, among other things.

 

Möhring has a degree from the Nautical Science faculty of the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, according to Eurogate.
