EVA Air has appointed Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited as its handling agent, with effect from January 5, 2018.

Under the agreement, Hactl will provide all cargo-handling services for the airline’s operations at Hong Kong International Airport, which include eight widebody freighters and more than 60 passenger flights every week.

“It is a pleasure to return to Hactl, extending our long-term and highly successful previous collaboration,” said Peter Chang, general manager of Hong Kong at EVA Air. “We particularly look forward to using the Hacis road feeder services system to maximize our capacity utilization.”

Hactl’s subsidiary Hacis operates SuperLink China Direct road feeder services to and from the wider Pearl River Delta region. The Hacis network will soon be extended with the opening of a ninth depot in the western PRD. In conjunction with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, this will reduce trans-PRD transit times by two thirds.

“We are honoured to welcome back our friends from EVA Air,” said Mark Whitehead, chief executive of Hactl. “Hactl’s recent investments in its IT systems and our future plans to enhance our systems will ensure EVA Air enjoys an even better customer experience in the future.”
