JETTAINER SIGNS ULD CARE CODE OF CONDUCT
June 30, 2018

Jettainer has become a signatory to ULD Care’s Code of Conduct, an initiative designed to promote safe and sustainable handling of air cargo containers.

The code consist of 10 rules that are intended to help reduce preventable damage to ULDs and pallets. Proper handling of loading equipment could save the industry millions in annual repair costs.

“The ULD Care Code of Conduct is an important step towards raising awareness of this topic within the industry,” said Frank Mühlenkamp, director of global operations at Jettainer and board member of ULD Care. “We fully support these efforts and are pursuing further approaches to reduce avoidable damage, for example through our JettCare programme.”

Jettainer’s JettCare programme has so far trained several thousand ground-handling employees worldwide, focusing on correct storage as well as proper handling of the units.

ULD Care is a Canadian non-profit organization which started as a committee of the International Air Transport Association in 1971 and became a legal entity in 2011.
