Hapag-Lloyd has launched an enhanced version of its mobile application.
According to the shipping line, customers can now make use of the app’s expanded functionality such as online bookings and Quick Quotes, which makes the quotation process for container shipments faster, easier and more convenient. Customers can request a binding offer and book their container in a matter of seconds, wherever they are.
“Mobile applications and simple customer processes are extremely important to us – and that’s exactly why we have significantly improved the Hapag-Lloyd app,” said Ralf Belusa, head of the digital channel and incubation unit at Hapag-Lloyd. “For us, this is about creating the simplest and most intuitive customer experience possible. Binding offers within seconds and online booking of container shipments are an important step in the ongoing digitalization of the supply chain.”
The optimized app also offers features such as ship schedules and shipment tracking. In addition, it provides customers with news as well as contact information for important customer service representatives. The app is integrated into Hapag-Lloyd’s online business portal, which now enables customers to manage their container-shipping processes even more conveniently on their own.
The app is now available on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS, according to Hapag-Lloyd.
