PANAMA REGISTRY OPENS TECHNICAL OFFICE IN HONG KONG

Panama has opened a new technical office (SEGUMAR) in Hong Kong — adding to its 14 international offices.

 

The new SEGUMAR office will be located in Hong Kong's Central district, working with the Panama Consulate to service the Hong Kong fleet which represents 6.8% of the total Panamanian merchant fleet.

 

"We continue to expand our services and cross borders. With the new SEGUMAR office in Hong Kong for technical documentation, we will continue working on improving the Panama Ship Registry," the brief statement

posted at the Consulate General of Panama in Hong Kong said.

The Panama Maritime Authority’s Directorate General of Merchant Marine through its Department of SEGUMAR is improving the Ship Registry’s operations with innovations and digitalisation of its processes.
