OOCL announced that in "response to the evolving demands of the market," it is introducing enhancements to its Intra-Asia services — including its China and Indonesia services as well as the Philippines feeder network — "to provide more competitive and comprehensive services in the market."

In a statement, the Hong Kong-headquartered container shipping company said by introducing our China Indonesia Service (CIS) service — which replaces the CIP product —, port calls to Qingdao and Port Kelang will be added to the network, while those to Semarang, Manila (South Port), and Hong Kong will be dropped.

The first sailing for the CIS will be from Qingdao on April 18 with the port rotation: Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Da Chan Bay - Jakarta - Surabaya - Port Kelang - Qingdao.

"In order to maintain the fast and direct linkage between the Philippines and Hong Kong markets, our Philippines Feeder 2 (PHF2) product will be resumed," OOCL added.

The first sailing for the PHF2 will be from Hong Kong on May 1 with port rotation: Hong Kong – Manila North Habour – Manila South Harbour – Hong Kong.

"We believe the enhancements will meet our customers' needs with improved efficiency and capacity within the network," OOCL said.
