February 17, 2016

UPS has upgraded its Flex Global View information tool for its freight-forwarding customers.

According to UPS, enhancements include alerts that are more descriptive and give customers shipment milestones for air, ocean and surface shipments, new systems-driven logic which ensure that shipment updates are more helpful and timely, and visibility to customs entries in over 20 countries to be added throughout 2016.

“UPS invests US$1 billion in technology annually,” said Matthew McGee, vice president of marketing at UPS global freight forwarding. “We want to help customers operate more efficiently. Flex Global View is robust and intuitive. Our customers can easily keep track of their supply chain allowing them to make decisions with confidence.”

Flex Global View is free for customers and provides visibility features such as updates, proactive alerts, email notifications, customized reports and updates on inventory status, according to UPS.
