THE ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES TRANSPACIFIC-WEST COAST SERVICE CHANGES
July 6, 2023

THE Alliance has announced changes to its Transpacific-West Coast operations, reflecting current market dynamics.

In a statement, THE Alliance — which consists of Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, HMM, and Yang Ming — said in consideration of the present market situation, it would make changes to Asia to Transpacific-West Coast Network by temporarily suspending the PS5 service and enhancing the existing PS3, PS6, and PS7 service.

The changes will take effect as of August and until further notice.

"The following enhancements shall ensure that customers continue to receive frequent and comprehensive service coverage," THE Alliance said in a brief announcement.

It said that PS5 would be "suspended until further notice."

Meanwhile,
its PS3 service would be enhanced with a Tokyo call.

The new PS3 would follow the Nhava Sheva – Pipavav – Colombo – Port Kelang – Singapore – Cai Mep – Haiphong – Yantian – Los Angeles/Long Beach – Oakland – Tokyo (new) - Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Port Kelang – Nhava Sheva port rotation.

THE Alliance said PS6 would also be optimized by adding Shanghai and omitting Pusan. This service would now follow Qingdao – Shanghai (new) – Ningbo – Los Angeles/Long Beach – Oakland – Kobe – Qingdao port rotation.

Lastly, the alliance's PS7 service would be enhanced with a Pusan call and would follow the Singapore – Laem Chabang – Cai Mep – Hong Kong – Yantian – Pusan (new) – Los Angeles/Long Beach – Oakland – Hong Kong – Singapore rotation.

"The effective sailings of the aforementioned adjustments will be announced shortly," THE Alliance said.
