ZIM will enhance its service offering between Asia and the US.
“The Asia-US East Coast trade is one of ZIM’s strategic trades and as such we constantly invest and enhance the product portfolio and service levels we offer our customers in this important trade,” said Nissim Yochai, vice president of the Pacific trade at ZIM.
Subject to regulatory approval, a new Pacific Atlantic service, or ZPA, will be launched in May 2016, connecting Central China and Korea, to Miami, Jacksonville and Charleston.
The Seven Star Express service (Z7S) will include a new call at Port Kelang. The transit time to New York will be 24 days.
The China East Coast, South Asia Suez, Container Service Pacific, New York Express and Taiwan USEC services will remain unchanged, according to ZIM.
