Ocean Network Express (ONE) has established a new subsidiary company, ONE DEJIMA CO.LTD., in Nagasaki, Japan.

The shipping line said in an announcement that the new company, which will be supporting some of the operational functions from ONE's global headquarters in Singapore, aims to both expand ONE's global network and promote regional revitalization in Japan.

ONE said it has already established the Advanced Ocean Container Transportation Engineering Lab (AOCTEL) in Kumamoto Prefecture to develop and foster talents with specialized skills.

In preparation for the launch of ONE DEJIMA CO.LTD, which includes support from local governments, ONE  will be working closely with Fukuoka Financial Group and the Juhachi-Shinwa Bank, Ltd, who have established strong networks within the local communities.

ONE noted that the establishment was made possible with the support of Nagasaki Prefecture, Nagasaki City, Fukuoka Financial Group and the Juhachi-Shinwa Bank, Ltd.
