American Airlines Cargo has appointed Andy Cornwell as Head of Cargo Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A long-serving figure in the sector, Cornwell is known within the air cargo industry for his strong support of freight-focused aviation.
Throughout Cornwell's 35-year career with American Airlines, he has held various positions within the carrier, notably in sales and business development.
"I am delighted to be taking on this new role, which is a natural extension of my previous post covering northern Europe. I believe the Cargo products and customer service at this airline are second to none, and to be able to drive forward our full range of products to an even wider group of customers is a challenge I am happy to take on," Cornwell said.
The new head of EMEA Sales at American Airlines Cargo will continue to be based at London Heathrow (LHR) from where he will report to Global Head of Sales, Indy Bolina.
