DNATA HANDLES OVER 1 MILLION TONNES OF CARGO IN DUBAI IN A YEAR

dnata has achieved a significant milestone, managing over 1 million tonnes of cargo in Dubai from April 2024 to March 2025 – the highest volume ever processed by the company in a 12-month period.

The airport services arm of the Emirates Group said this record reflects a 30% year-over-year increase, driven by strong demand for dnata's services.

Operating from advanced facilities at both Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum - Dubai World Central (DWC) airports, dnata currently serves more than 120 airline customers, safely managing a broad range of cargo, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, live animals, aircraft engines and vehicles.

Guillaume Crozier, chief cargo officer at dnata, said this achievement reflects the strength of dnata's operations and the vital role it plays in enabling the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the emirate.

"We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone in Dubai, the birthplace of dnata and our largest cargo station ... Our success is built on the dedication of our people and the outstanding collaboration with our industry partners and authorities, including Dubai Airports, Dubai Customs and Dubai Police. I sincerely thank them all as we continue to raise the bar for cargo handling in the region and beyond."

"We will continue to invest in our operations to contribute to Dubai's success and growth as a major gateway for commerce, connectivity and innovation," Crozier added.

dnata provides end-to-end cargo handling services at Dubai's two airports. Its recent investments include the rollout of OneCargo, its digital cargo management system, which automates key business and operational functions, including safety and quality monitoring, reporting and ULD management, with an integrated, cloud-based platform.

The company also integrates autonomous drones into dnata’s operations, which significantly reduces processing times and increases accuracy in shipment tracking.

Most recently, dnata also transitioned its entire non-electric ground support equipment (GSE) fleet to run on biodiesel in Dubai. It also repurposes and recycles materials, including cargo pallets and nets, to support broader efforts to drive circularity and reduce environmental impact across the industry.

dnata provides ground handling and cargo services at over 90 airports in 16 countries. In the 2023-24 financial year, dnata's teams handled 2.9 million tonnes of cargo globally, representing a 5% year-over-year growth.
