IAG CARGO SIGNS RENTAL AGREEMENT WITH VA-Q-TEC
September 30, 2016

IAG Cargo has signed a global rental agreement with insulation provider va-Q-tec.

“This agreement offers our customers wanting to ship temperature-sensitive goods an excellent and cost-efficient solution,” said Alan Dorling, global head of pharmaceuticals and life sciences at IAG Cargo. “With consistent year-on-year growth in Constant Climate shipments, we are continually investing in innovative customer solutions that match our own high standards; as such we are fully confident that this agreement will be welcomed by customers looking to ship pharmaceuticals across the globe.”

According to IAG Cargo, the passive va-Q-tec containers it provides come in five sizes and can maintain six different temperature ranges. The units use a phase-change material which, when placed in the correct environment, allows the coolant to be re-charged. As a result, these va-Q-tainers do not require the same level of moderation as active shipments throughout the journey.

“We are delighted to partner with IAG Cargo,” saidd Dominic Hyde, managing director of va-Q-tec Limited. “The broad network offered by IAG Cargo and the integrated va-Q-tainer rental option will provide pharma shippers with a reliable door-to-door temperature-controlled solution that meets challenging requirements for global health care flows.”
