UPS PRODUCES RECORD REVENUE IN 2016

UPS made a total of US$60.9 billion in revenue in 2016, an increase of 4.4% compared to 2015, according to operating results released by the company.

 

Net profit for 2016 amounted to US$3.43 billion.

 

UPS delivered a total of 4.87 billion packages in 2016, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. The average daily volume for international export packages grew 5.1% to 1.21 million, while the average number of US domestic packages per day grew 4.1% to 16.2 million.

 

“Revenue and volume growth accelerated for UPS during the holiday season and we provided high service levels for our customers,” said David Abney, chairman and CEO. “The international segment delivered another extraordinary performance, while the US managed through considerable changes in product mix. Our strategies and initiatives are creating long-term value for both UPS customers and shareowners.”
