Emirates will introduce a non-stop service between Dubai and Newark Liberty International Airport from June 1, 2018.
According to Emirates, the new flight will be operated daily with a Boeing 777-300ER, with a bellyhold capacity of approximately 19 tonnes.
Emirates already flies daily between Dubai and Newark via Athens with a 777-300ER. The airline also currently flies four daily Airbus A380s between Dubai and New York-JFK, including one via Milan. From March 25, 2018, Emirates will stop operating one of the three daily non-stop JFK flights.
Separately, Emirates will boost its current five-times-weekly non-stop Fort Lauderdale and Orlando flights to daily from March 25, 2018.
Emirates serves 12 destinations in the US: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, New York-JFK, Newark, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington Dulles.
