CATHAY PACIFIC TO LAUNCH SEASONAL CAPE TOWN FLIGHT

Cathay Pacific will launch a seasonal non-stop flight to Cape Town from November 13, 2018 to February 18, 2019, directly linking the city with Hong Kong for the first time.

 

According to Cathay, the new flight will be operated three times a week with an Airbus A350-900,  adding to the existing daily non-stop flight to Johannesburg.

“We are very pleased to be able to expand our services in Africa, a booming aviation market,” said Rupert Hogg, chief executive officer of Cathay Pacific. “Growing our reach to destinations that are not otherwise served from Hong Kong creates considerable new opportunities for business, trade and tourism, in addition to strengthening our home hub.”

 

Cathay is due to launch non-stop flights to Brussels in March, Copenhagen in May, Dublin in June and Washington DC in September this year.
