The SDV office at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport has met all the requirements to be granted with the AS9120A certification.
According to SDV, the new certification relates to the management of aircraft parts, covering packaging, warehousing, distribution and domestic and international transport.
“We are proud of this accreditation and view this as an important achievement for SDV USA,” said Laurent Chantegros, aerospace director at SDV USA. “This demonstrates our commitment to deliver best-in-class supply chain and logistics services to the aerospace industry. Quality and compliance are key attributes in the aerospace industry and the AS9120A certification allows us to meet our customers’ requirements by adopting and supporting a formal quality process of continuous improvement.”
The AS9120A standard is given by SAE International, a professional association of experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries. It builds on the ISO 9001:2008 certification for a quality management system, and sets out additional requirements specific to the aviation, space and defence industries.
