December 10, 2015

Lufthansa and United Airlines are planning an expansion of their partnership to cover cooperation between their cargo divisions on routes between Europe and the US.

A number of different elements are being discussed, such as an alignment of information technology and warehouse facilities.

According to the two carriers, the planned cooperation will create a more comprehensive, efficient and seamless trans-Atlantic cargo network, offering more choice and benefits to customers.

The commercial arrangement has yet to be finalized, and implementation of the cargo partnership is subject to government approval and compliance with EU and US regulations.

Lufthansa Cargo recently expanded its joint network in Japan with ANA Cargo.
