DB Schenker announced that effective September 1, Ong Siew-Wei, DB Schenker’s (now former) Philippines chief executive officer (CEO), has taken on the role of CEO/President of Schenker-Seino Co. Ltd in Japan and CEO for the organization’s North East Asia Cluster.

In a statement, the logistics firm said Siew-Wei is a highly regarded leader within DB Schenker with an exceptional track record.

She first joined Schenker Singapore in 2005, and subsequently moved to the Asia Pacific regional office leading a spectrum of vertical markets.

In 2015, Siew-Wei took on the role of APAC Chief Commercial Officer prior to her appointment as CEO Philippines.

With the search for Siew-Wei’s successor in the Philippines well underway, Robert Reiter, CEO South East Asia, will assume the role of interim CEO for the Philippines from September 1.
