Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said that the certification was an important step for the company. “We take our environmental responsibility seriously and, through our environmental management plan, continue to implement efficiencies and pursue innovative ideas to limit our environmental impact while fully supporting the UAE Vision 2021,” he said.

DXB and DWC are now part of the 14 airports that have a Level 2 accreditation in the programme, which independently certifies airports at four levels of accreditation: mapping, reduction, optimization and neutrality.
