Emirates will start flying to Yangon and Hanoi from August 3, 2016.
The daily flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, which will offer a cargo capacity of up to 20 tonnes.
The manufacturing sector has been steadily moving into Vietnam and Myanmar. Emirates is therefore expecting to carry manufactured garments and seafood from Yangon, and electronics and marine products from Hanoi.
Emirates SkyCargo already operates a weekly 777 Freighter between Dubai and Hanoi, offering 260 tonnes of capacity. Emirates also operates a 777 passenger flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
The airline’s network in Southeast Asia will consist of 12 destinations in seven countries, including Cebu and Clark in the Philippines which are due to be launched on March 30, 2016.
