February 1, 2024

Jettainer said Elfi Chik has joined its sales team in Hong Kong as general manager of sales in North Asia, further strengthening the ULD management company's presence in the region.

"This strategic hiring marks another significant step in the ongoing expansion of the global leader in Unit Load Device (ULD) management in Asia," Jettainer said.

It added that with almost 20 years of industry experience, Chik brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in aviation and will develop and expand market opportunities for Jettainer in China and North Asia.

"The internationally well-connected sales representative Elfi Chik complements Jettainer's setup in Asia with her extensive knowledge of the air transportation industry," Jettainer further said.

It added that Chik began her career with the ground handler Hong Kong Airport Services Limited, followed by pivotal roles at All Nippon Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways, where she was responsible for duties including customer service management and sales.

She joined American Airlines Cargo in 2016 as senior global account manager in Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for the success of the airline cargo sales activities in the region.

Prior to joining Jettainer, she served as the commercial director of Asia Pacific for the ground handler Worldwide Flight Services (WFS).

"Elfi Chik boosts our team as a well-connected sales and air freight expert on both international and regional levels. Having successfully established our offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, the expansion of our team will once again bring us closer to the market and our customers' requirements," said Thomas Sonntag, Jettainer's CEO.

"Chik's extensive regional and international experience will be essential as we continue to grow in Asia. Her intercultural expertise will be instrumental in responding even better to each market's specific needs," he added.
