DHL Global Forwarding has appointed George Lawson as its new chief executive officer and country manager of India, effective from June 1, 2016.

 

Self Photos / Files - George LawsonAccording to DHL, Lawson relocated from Bonn and is now based in Mumbai, reporting to Kelvin Leung, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific.

 

“With India gathering momentum to hold its ranking as the world’s fastest-growing large economy in the first quarter this year, it’s an exciting time to be here,” said Lawson. “It’s a privilege to lead our India team that has consistently delivered high-quality solutions for our customers.”

 

Lawson joined the company in 1992 and has worked in leadership roles in sales, operations, marketing and general management in Asia and Europe. He was most recently senior vice president and global head of marketing, according to DHL.
