Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services (Hacis) has opened a new climate-controlled facility to support the increasing volumes of perishables and temperature-sensitive goods entering and transiting the Hong Kong market.

At a time when some carriers are accelerating the exit of freighters from their fleets, Emirates SkyCargo is pushing in the opposite direction. In early May, the Middle Eastern airline announced that it was leasing two Boeing 747 freighters to supplement its lift, which includes 11 777 freighters.
