Salt Lake City International Airport is seeking to establish itself as an air cargo gateway and an alternative hub for the U.S. West Coast, particularly to Los Angeles International Airport.

Following a rocky 2024, industry experts expect the start of 2025 to remain challenging.

Boeing said demand for freighters will remain strong, even as capacity from passenger’s belly holds increases, and that the share of cargo transported on the main deck is expected to surpass that carried in the bellies.
